HISTORY
Founded in 1994, André Costa Group is a contemporary company dedicated to the distribution of premium clothing and accessories. Its structure also incorporates a network of retail stores in privileged locations. A balanced expansion strategy ensured sustainable growth throughout the last 20 years, during which it diversified its operations to include both distribution and retail. After opening its first store and showroom in Porto in 2000, the group followed with 4 more Becode stores, corners at El Corte Inglés, international expansion with distribution to Spain and Greece, launch of its in-house brand and several other inspiring projects that remain to this day. As leader in its market segment, the company is known for its long-term brand development strategies, creative marketing and undivided focus on its partners and clients.
FOUNDER
André Costa founded his eponymous company in 1996 as a result of his passion for the fashion industry and a natural talent to scout the potential of new trends, brands and markets. Entrepreneur at heart, his conscious management methodology allowed him to create a solid group which is now a reference in the Portuguese market with over 20 years in business. Valuing product quality above brand, he looks for the small details that make each garment unique and special, in an ongoing search for exclusive labels that share his philosophy. He finds inspiration in his travels and loves being surprised by new, fresh and unique projects, that add value to his business and that of his clients and partners.
